FIV

FIV
Feline immunodeficiency virus. A lentivirus that, like HIV and SIV, uses chemokine receptors (CXCR4) on cells as a co-receptors for infection. FIV can use human chemokine receptors and will infect human cells that express CXCR4. SIV-infected cells fuse to form syncytia.
